On Aug 1/09, after blazing hot 31C heat in the shade with 33C humidex, a collision of much cooler air further east with the same sizzling air mass that’s over BC generated massive thunderstorms over much of central Alberta. The winds were much stronger than in Edmonton and so powerful out by Camrose from what I hear that it collapsed part of the stage at Big Valley!
